Story about seven sisters
Titan Atlas and the nymph Pleione had seven beautiful daughters who caught the eye of the fearsome hunter Orion. In an attempt to help them escape—or perhaps jealously keep them for himself, for divine motivations are always mysterious—great Zeus spread the seven sisters across the sky, in Orion’s immediate but unattainable proximity. We can see them with the naked eye as the Pleiades, a shining cluster of stars in the constellation Taurus, and sailors have long relied on their help during dangerous voyages.
